Cast and Crew
Tom ReedCreator, cast
Tom Reed feels honored to get to work with this wonderful cast on a new show that's a bit of a departure from his previous Fringe ventures. Over the last few years Tom created or directed a string of successful Fringe shows including one-man musical parodies Bite Me Twilight, Hungry Games, Parry Hotter, and last year's Stranger-er Things: Netflix and KILL, which the Star Tribune called "Drop dead funny." He has also directed all four "Couple Fight" shows (including "Couple Fight: The Musical" this year at Rarig Thrust!). Beyond Fringe: Tom's in the mainstage sketch comedy and improv cast at Brave New Workshop, and has past credits including Mixed Blood Theatre (Curious Incident, Next to Normal, Avenue Q), Huge Theater, Actors Theater (The Compleat Wrks of Wllm Shkspr (Abridged)), ComedySportz; TV (Lady Dynamite, History Channel); improv festivals (Out Of Bounds, Twin Cities Improv Festival); award-winning 48 hour short films, and commercials. In his free time, Tom rides bikes, plays board games and gets bitten by his cat, Wallaby. He's also thrilled to be part of the 2018 Twin Cities Horror Festival with new work entitled: Greenway. tombreed.com Keywords that might help searchers: gunplay, gun play

With a dose of rom-com mixed with darkly satirical song snippets and poignant gun culture commentary, this show aims to use comedy and a sense of play to start a conversation about something that's really not funny. Set in the absurd alternate reality of America in 2018, this satire follows an attempt to stage a gun lobby group's "hip, fun!" musical active shooter drill with high school students.
Created by Tom Reed, creator and/or director of Fringe hits Bite Me Twilight, Parry Hotter, Couple Fight (all four) and last year's Stranger-er Things: Netflix and KILL which the Star Tribune called "Drop dead funny."
